Privacy Statement
Austria [Version: 8. Januar 2018]

Welcome to our websites. To ensure that you feel secure, we would like to inform you about how we handle your data. You can retrieve this declaration at any time from

https://corporate.lloyd.com/at/en/company/service/company/data-protection

1. Collection and use of data

If you request that we provide a service or dispatch goods, your personal data will be used without your explicit approval to the extent that is necessary in order to provide this service or process the order. This includes in particular the forwarding of your data to transport companies, credit compa-nies and/or payment services providers.

Once the order has been completed, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted on expiry of the statutory retention periods, unless you have expressly approved further use.

2. Access to LLOYD websites

When accessing LLOYD websites, your browser will automatically store data for technical reasons. The following data will be stored separately by LLOYD from other data that you may have transferred to LLOYD:

  • The date and time of access
  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • URL of the website previously visited
  • IP address, minus the final three numbers

This data will be stored for technical reasons only and will at no time be assigned to a specific per-son.

3. The use of cookies

www.lloyd.com uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. They make it possible to retain information for a specific period of time. After a browser session is termi-nated, most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive (“session cookies”). The so-called “permanent cookies” remain on your computer, however, and enable us to recognise you during your next visit.

The Help function on most web browsers explains how you can prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how you can inform your browser when you receive a new cookie, or how you can switch off all cookies received.

4. The use of Facebook social plugins

For data protection reasons, we do not directly include Facebook social plugins in our web presence. When you retrieve our sites, no data is therefore transferred to Facebook. This means that no third party can create a profile.

However, you do have the option of using social media plugin functions. Here, we use the “Shariff solution” developed by c’t magazine in order to offer an alternative to classic social plugins that con-forms to our data protection standards.

What does the “Shariff solution” mean? The Shariff solution means that as a first step, all data and functions needed to display the Facebook buttons are made available by our webserver. The data is not transferred to Facebook until you decide to share an article via the corresponding button and click on it.

5. Share function via smartphones

When you use our websites via a smartphone, you have the option of sharing interesting content with your contacts in the “WhatsApp” smartphone app. If you click on the corresponding symbol, a hyper-link is generated which you can then send to your contacts. When a website is retrieved with the WhatsApp button, no data is transferred to WhatsApp. So-called “referrer data” is only transferred when you click on the button. Please only share content with contacts who really want to receive this information.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc., 1600 Amphithea-tre Parkway, Mountain View, CA94043, USA (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which make it possible to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there.

However, if the IP anonymisation option is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shor-tened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other member states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there. At the request of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to provide other services to the website operator connected with the use of the website and internet use. The IP address transferred by your browser for Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by creating a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we wish to inform you that in such a case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full. You can also prevent the transmission of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Another way of preventing the web analysis by Google Analytics is to set an opt-out cookie which instructs Google not to store or use your data for web analysis purposes. Please note that with this solution, web analysis is only prevented for as long as the opt-out cookie is stored by the browser.

If you wish to set the opt-out cookie, click here: https://develoconstpers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/?hl=en#disable.

In light of the discussion on the use of analysis tools with full IP addresses, we wish to point out that in order to preclude direct assignability to any one individual, IP addresses are only processed on this website in their shortened version, since we use Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizelp()*”.

7. Google Tag Manager

We also use the Google Tag Manager on our website for personalised, interest- and location-related online advertising.

The Google Tag Manager enables us to address visitors to our website with targeted advertising as part of marketing campaigns for our products on the websites of our advertising partners. This form is advertising is conducted anonymously. The advertisements on the websites of our partners are shown using Google Tag Managers based on cookie technology (“DoubleClick cookie”) and on the previous visit to our website. The data is collected and stored by Google. Our advertising partners do not receive any information about the data stored in the cookie. As well as the IP address of the computer used, and ID number is stored in the cookie with which Google can determine how frequent-ly you have retrieved which website. No other personal data is stored apart from the IP address. The data stored in the cookie is not merged with other personal data to create user profiles. You can manage your settings for advertisements in the Google advertisement Help menu (https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996?hl=en)."

8. Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps for showing maps and creating suggested routes. Google Maps is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you use Google Maps, information about your use (in particular the IP address of your com-puter) is transferred to a Google Inc. server in the US and stored there. We have no influence over the further processing of data by Google Inc.

You can read the terms of use of Google Maps here:https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps.html

For detailed information about the Google data protection regulations, see:https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

If you do not agree to your data being processed by Google Inc., deactivate the Java Script function in your browser to obtain a restricted display.

9. Embedded videos and images from external Internet sites

On some subpages, we have embedded YouTube videos in “extended data protection mode”. When you retrieve these sites, a connection is made to YouTube and the DoubleClick network. A click on a video then triggers further data processing procedures over which we have no further influence, how-ever. For technical reasons, your IP address is transferred to YouTube when you visit sites that have incorporated YouTube videos. This information is not stored by YouTube, however.

We have also incorporated Instagram videos on several subpages. Here, too, for technical reasons, your IP address is transferred to Instagram when you visit sites that have incorporated videos.

10. Credit rating check

Your application data, address data as well as payment experience data relating to your adherence to the payment terms and payment experience data regarding uncontented claims, unsettled upon ma-turity, will be forwarded to CRIF GmbH, Diefenbachgasse 35, 1150 Wien who will legally dispose the data within the context of their business licence according to §§ 151 – 153 trade regulation Act (Gew-erbeordnung).

If you wish to use the B2B platform, you must first register. You can change or delete your profile within your account at any time. The data will then automatically be removed from our system.

13. Online applications
